ST Studio is a workspace for creating with AI. Start with an idea, develop the result, and carry it into the next piece of work. This walkthrough uses a fictional tea campaign; the same sequence works for portraits, illustrations, product images, and story frames.
Start with a creative direction #
Create a project for the campaign and choose an image Pipe. A Pipe presents the prompt, source images, and controls for one creative task. ComfyUI runs the workflow underneath it.
Try a starting prompt such as:
A glass of iced tea on a sunlit café table, lemon peel, long afternoon shadows, warm amber and pale blue, editorial product photograph.
Generate one image. Open it in the viewer and decide what to keep: the framing, colors, light, or subject. First image covers setup and the exact generation steps.
Explore a direction #
Use Regenerate on the result to restore its setup. Change the light or framing, or choose another seed for a variation. Keep promising versions in the same project and use the Media Tray to compare them.
Save the useful visual language as snippets. A live style snippet can evolve across prompts. Freeze the wording when you want one prompt to stay exactly as approved.
Shape the image #
Open Transform. Crop the frame, combine images on separate layers, add lettering, or paint over a detail. Use selections and masks for a targeted change.
For a wider banner, choose Expand, set the new space, and use Use in Pipe to send the image and mask together to an outpainting Pipe. Generate from the normal controls. The source and editable draft remain available. Edit images and make masks explains the tools and save choices.
Make it move #
Choose the image you want to animate and use Use in Pipe to send it into an image-to-video Pipe. Review the receiving image field, describe the motion, and start with one short clip.
For example: “A slow camera push toward the glass; condensation catches the light; the table and glass stay still.”
The video model and Pipe determine motion controls, dimensions, duration, and hardware needs. Studio runs the task and brings the clip back into the same project. First video walks through the process.
Return to the work #
- Regenerate restores a result's recorded generation setup.
- Use in Pipe moves media and compatible settings into your next creative tool.
- Canvas saves the Studio workspace you arranged.
- Transform retains its editable document separately from an exported image.
These are different ways to continue creating. Saved generation details explains what travels with your work and what belongs in a backup.
Use the compute that fits #
The creative sequence is the same with a local engine or a remote GPU through ST Bridge. Models and custom nodes run where the engine is. Your project and creative controls stay in Studio.
