Keep the exact error visible, identify the first broken part, and make the repair that directly affects it.
Start with evidence #
Record the platform, Studio app and local service versions, how Studio connects to ComfyUI, the selected Pipe, project and folder, exact action, exact error, and the smallest safe input that reproduces it.
Troubleshoot in this order: engine connection; workflow structure and final output; models and custom nodes; Pipe controls and required inputs; project and media routing; ComfyUI execution; media delivery; profile database; account continuity or Agent Access. Stop at the first failed part.
Follow the failing part #
| Symptom | First evidence | Direct page |
|---|---|---|
| Studio cannot reach ComfyUI | Engine state, URL, process output | Connect ComfyUI |
| Generate is closed | Named blocker | Install Missing Models and Nodes |
| A node fails | ComfyUI node and error text | Nodes |
| Model is missing | Referenced name and model kind | Models |
| Output lands incorrectly | Submitted Project and folder | Projects |
| File exists but Gallery omits it | Project location and index status | Move Projects and Recover Missing Files |
| Studio becomes slow | Queue, node, delivery, or interface interval | Performance |
| Devices disagree | Sync status and backlog | Sync Your Studio Setup |
| Agent cannot act | Connection scope, policy, approval, activity | Agent Access |
Preserve before repair #
Back up the profile database and relevant Project folders before database repair, broad cleanup, migration, or sync recovery. Keep the original workflow and failing media available.
Report the issue #
Share the exact version and action, the first failed part, terminal error, and a minimal sanitized input. Remove API keys, account tokens, Agent Access credentials, private prompts, personal media, and sensitive filesystem paths.
