Choose what an agent may inspect or prepare, require approval for important changes, and follow its work in Agent Monitor.
Before you start #
Review which Projects the connection can see and which actions it can use.
Agent Monitor shows connected clients, current and recent actions, pending approvals, run status, and cancellation where supported. It tells you whether an agent is inspecting, waiting for approval, running, finished, failed, or disconnected.
Choose permissions #
- Grant read access needed for context.
- Grant creative staging for work the client should prepare.
- Grant Build & configure only when dependency or environment changes are part of the job.
- Require approval for destructive, publishing, or expensive actions.
- Review the resulting policy summary.
Handle an approval #
- Read the proposed action and target Project or Pipe.
- Confirm that the proposal matches the request.
- Review values, file effects, cost, and destructive consequences.
- Approve and run, reject, or leave pending.
- Follow the finished status in Agent Monitor.
What each status means #
| Status | What to do |

| Inspecting | Let the agent finish reading allowed context |
| Waiting for approval | Review the proposed action |
| Running | Follow progress and cancel only when necessary |
| Failed | Read the named cause and exact error |
| Disconnected | Restore the connection before repeating work |
