Find the first thing that stopped your image or clip, fix it, and try the same Pipe again.
Before you change anything #
Keep the failed generation visible. Note the exact message or error, the selected Pipe, the connected ComfyUI engine, and the project folder. Do not install unrelated packs, change providers, or reset Studio before you know what failed.
Check one part at a time #
- Connection: does Studio report the ComfyUI engine ready?
- Pipe: does revalidation accept the workflow and find its final image or video?
- Dependencies: are required models and custom nodes present?
- Inputs: are required prompt, model, number, and media controls valid?
- Folder: does the selected project folder exist and accept files?
- ComfyUI: did it accept the generation, and which node failed?
- Gallery: did ComfyUI return an image or clip Studio could save?
Fix the first item shown #
| First failed gate | Repair |
|---|---|
| Connection | Connect ComfyUI |
| Graph or output | Edit Pipe controls |
| Model | Model downloads and queue |
| Custom node | Nodes |
| Required field | Pipe controls |
| Project folder | Choose a Project and Folder |
| ComfyUI node | Read the ComfyUI error and inspect that node’s values |
| Missing image or clip | Check the workflow’s final output and media type |
After the repair, try the same Pipe and input again. Keeping the setup unchanged tells you whether that fix worked.
When to collect more details #
Use Troubleshooting when the first failed part is unclear, the same error remains after its direct fix, or the Studio app, local service, and ComfyUI report conflicting versions.
