Experimental LCM Workflow "The Ravens" for Würstchen v3 aka Stable Cascade — v0.1

The Ravens is an experimental ComfyUI workflow for generating images with Würstchen v3 (Stable Cascade): it takes text prompts, can use an image for Img2Img, ControlNet Canny, or CLIP-Vision, and produces an image at the Main Pass and each of two HiRes Fix passes.

After the Main Pass, two HiRes Fix passes are intended to help hide artifacts; compare all three images because the last may look too smooth.

For Img2Img, load an image in “Load Image I1,” connect “Upscale Img2Img - to R1” to “HiRes Fix VAE ENC - R1,” and usually disable the Main Pass.

For ControlNet Canny, load an image in “Load Image I1” and enable “APPLY CN”; for CLIP-Vision, load an image in “Load Image I1” or “Load Image I2” and enable the matching “CLIP-V CON - I1” or “CLIP-V CON - I2” option.

Install Stable Cascade Stage B and Stage C safetensors in ComfyUI\models\checkpoints, and Canny in ComfyUI\models\controlnet.

Unzip “The Ravens Workflow v01.zip,” install the “sd-perturbed-attention” custom node (the provided folder is named “sd-perturbed-attention-master”), then open “The Ravens Workflow.png” in ComfyUI.

The listed requirements include the “sd-perturbed-attention” node pack and the model file “base/sd_xl_base_1.0.safetensors.”

Node names listed for the workflow include CLIPTextEncode, PerturbedAttention, PreviewImage, CheckpointLoaderSimple, KSampler, EmptyLatentImage, and VAEDecode.

The guide suggests LCM-Simple across the passes; try Euler-Normal for heavy artifacts, Euler-A-Karras for very noisy images, or Euler-A-Simple if an image does not respond to the prompt.

The guide suggests compression 32 for 768×768 to 1280×1280, 48 for 1280×1280 to 1792×1792, and 64 for 1792×1792 to 2304×2304, at all aspect ratios.

Suggested starting settings are 18 steps for Main Pass Stage C, 9 for each HiRes Pass Stage C, 6 for Stage B, CFG 2.5 at Stage C, CFG 1.5 at Stage B, and denoise strength 0.1.

Suggestion · not verified

The workflow is described as highly experimental; some prompts may fail and produce dots, lines, white spots, distortion, or noise patterns.

The setup guide names Stable Cascade Stage B and Stage C, while another listed model file is “base/sd_xl_base_1.0.safetensors”; verify the checkpoint file names before running.
